Breaking the borders

Desire to experience the world goes to the roots of human psychology. It is very important for every person to experience the world from the very first days. This process begins with simple trying to roll from back to belly and continues till the end of days in trying to learn the world, to broaden horizons.

It seems to me that some kind of romantic desire is in the concept of traveling desire. Really, people who have rich fantasies and easy mind wish to discover the world outside usual four walls.

They are not satisfied with the usual every day events and even in the hardest times find an opportunity to see the world. Just return to the past, into the times of famous world expeditions. People were not afraid of the unknown places. These places draw them, was like the best prize in life. And they went to the far countries, to the far lands and learned many new things to bring them into their own country and present them to the local people. These people possessed eternal wish to find out what's world has for them, and they brought news to other people.

So, sometimes there expeditions were not very successful. At least everybody knows the story about Cook in Australia. But anyway it did not stop all the fairy tales and fantasies creators, people who like to explore the world.

Air balloons, planes, trains, ships were the result of human fantasy in the desire to see the world. They made a risk, of course, but they succeed.

In modern times, risk is limited to the lowest level. We use usual everyday things to move, walk, run and so on and so forth. Modern world presents a modern persona many opportunities to move, many events to see, many places to explore. Even if the scientists say that modern people are much lazier than the representatives of the previous generations, the reason of laziness is not mental ignorance. People still are interested in learning the world. But now it is much easier than it was some centuries ago (or even at the beginning of the last century). Just imagine that you need 2 weeks to cross the ocean and reach America. Yes, plenty of time. And this pleasant voyage was available only for rich people. Later cheaper ships were sailing across the ocean o bring poorer people to the wonderland. But it took more than two hours. Now it is hard to imagine that somebody wastes two weeks just for the road. I doubt that a boss agrees to give so many days off.

Modern transport allows reaching any part of the world and enjoying everything you wish to enjoy. So, the time for traveling is limited and one has more time to see all the desired wonders and sightseeing.

They say "it is better to see once than to hear for hundred times". My friend likes traveling. She traced the Crimea back and forth. I was admired hearing her wonderful stories about Crimean waterfalls, dark rocks, right sun and never-ending grapes, exciting excursion, mysterious castles and palaces and many-many other sightseeing. But very quickly I forgot the difference between two palaces and I could not remember something about some resort. So, when I saw everything with my eyes, my remembering set certain place in my head and firm place in my heart.

What's beyond the horizon? This is the issue that makes a human to leave local area and see other places. An old desire to enjoy something unusual, something strange, touch to the culture and history of other countries, to discover new regions, to become a modern Bother Right or Christophor Coulomb. What's beyond the horizon? What's new? Well. Te world is not limited with four walls and the world is not a cage that restricts freedom. The world with all the admirable wonders is like a vase that contains much unknown. From the darkest time a person tries to look into the vase and see what's at the bottom of it.
